Wonderful there. In the truest sense of the word "everything as it was" and that is exactly what makes it wonderful. The menu reads well, the price / performance ratio is great and the staff are very friendly and personable.

On the way from Berlin to Verden, made a stop here also because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed, the food is really super fresh, nothing is made with old fat and you can taste and see it! ?? The service was also super personable, friendly and understands fun. You felt completely at ease, if we are in transit again, we will definitely come again! ?

Not eaten this well in a long time The service is very friendly and courteous, you feel comfortable from the first minute. The food was a poem, everyone who wants good, down-to-earth cuisine should eat here.

It is so spacious and refreshing inside. The music is fantastic. the atmosphere is beautiful. Meals are fine. Service was quick but the drink was not cold.

We went to this restaurant to have a real German meal. We ordered 4 beef steaks with mushrooms, salad and mashed potatoes. The beef was bitter and the other food was also in a bad shape for paying 98 euro .... Only accepting cash in 2020! This is not a restaurant, but a Pub. If you go out for a good meal go elsewhere.

The Place is on a very good location, close to the city center and has easy access because it is right outside the Steintor station of the train. Price wise, it depends on what you order; somethings are a little high on price but others are very accessible. The attention is not the best, we had to wait a lot for our order to come and the staff is not the friendliest you can find but it’s okay. If you like typical german food of the region then I would say it’s nice. Not great and not bad, I don’t know if I will come back again.

Lovely typical German food. The service was great, nice people, cozy place. The food was well made and well seasoned. If you want to try good German food this is the place. Can only recommend but reserve a table in advance because it can get busy

If you really like german food... Awesome place

Just went there purposely to eat my late lunch by myself. When I said I need a table for one, they said No for me cuz reservation when I saw lots of tables were empty even at outside tables. Is this how they treat the tourist who found this restaurant from Google to visit them purposely? Very disappointed at this restaurant.

Even though we did make reservations, the owner found a table for us. She was very friendly and helpful, so we felt us welcome immediately. The food was very traditional German and tasted amazing. When our 3 year old son was tired and started making some "noise", the owner just found some paper and some pencils for our son so he could draw and gave it to him with a smile. A very welcoming place with great food!

I almost walked past this place, which would have been a real shame. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and very delicious food. As far as I could see, it was all German cuisine. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is definitely worth a visit. It smelled great inside, of food, and people were relaxed and happy. For my tastes it was a tiny bit too noisy, but I'm very sensitive when it comes to that. - But if you're looking for a quiet, romantic corner, then I wouldn't call this it. I don't drink alcohol, but I could tell they had a nice selection. Prices are reasonable for the great quality of food, and portion size was perfect for me

One of the best tipycal German restaurants you can visit in Hannover. The attention paid was fantastic. We arrived late but they assist us kindly and quickly. The knuckle was on the best in my life. Big, perfectly cooked and good sides. Beer also never ends... Congrats from Spain!!

Max Walloschke was recommended to me by the bartender at the hotel I am staying at It didn't disappoint. I had the pork with mushrooms and it was excellent. Good food, friendly staff. What more could you want? For good authentic German food, you won't be disappointed.

I can not give this place a high enough rating. The food was amazing, and the staff was incredibly friendly. It is quite small, so call ahead.

It’s a place what you think about a bar or restaurant typically old German. You come inside and her all those people talking and laughing. We didn’t reserved and it was really full. But we could sit at a big tables with some others. We ordered a enter, a main meal and some beers. The dishes was so big that we had to ask for take away the rest. The meat was a bit dry but all the rest was so amazing. I love the atmosphere in there. It’s so personally. The owner/waiter always talked with me like a friend. The prizes for big meals we had was less expensive than somewhere else. We had a great evening there and if I would come back to Hanover I would go back there.
